Location: Captain's Ready Room.

Joint Duty Log: Time Frame Answer
By: Captain Ravynn Phoenix, Cmdr Oliver Queen, and Lt. Heather Argeneau

Heather made her way from the cargo bay to the closest lift, grabbing a water bottle to rinse out her mouth and take a drink. Heather wasn't at all happy with what she needed to tell the command team but it needed to be done. She wasn't so sure she liked the idea of going to Earth in this time-line, but it was also necessary. As she rode the lift to the bridge she took deep breaths shaking the images from her mind. Everyone was alive and well and she hoped to help keep it that way.

As the lift came to a stop she was off of it before the doors finished closing. It's been a long time since she'd last stepped foot on the bridge usually preferring to stay in the wellness center if she could help it. Looking around she saw the Captain and First officer and motioned that she needed to talk to them.

Seeing the anxiety on Heather's face she motioned her to. "Dr. Argeneau?"

Heather did not wish to alarm the bridge crew, not that they weren't already alarmed, even with her mental barriers up, she could sense their fear and anxiety. "I'm not sure if it matters Captain, but maybe we should talk in your ready room?" Heather asked.

"I believe I need to be present as well. You have the Bridge, Lieutenant." Giving a nod.

Heather gave a nod to Cmdr Queen.

Ravynn headed to her ready room with Queen and Argeneau trailing behind. Once the trio was tucked inside the doors slipped shut and the white noise activated to keep the conversation private.
"Have a seat if you like." Ravynn leaned her backside against her desk, crossing her legs and her hands clasped in front of her. "I take the autopsies are complete or is there something else?" None of which would be good news. Ravynn was already anxious herself wondering if she had made the right choice.

"No no nothing new, the autopsies are done," Heather said pacing slightly as she felt the captain's anxiety while trying to rebuild her mental walls. "The bodies if you will," Heather started unable to call those by any names, "Are three days old. give or take some hours. It means we have three days before the Suliban finalizes their plans I do not know how big the shockwave will be or how far the damage will go beyond the worlds mentioned in the intelligence reports," Heather said holding out a PADD with all of the info on it that she had.

Captain Phoenix took the PADD from Heather. She didn't read it slowly at the moment but hitting the highlights. "Dammit," said in mild exasperation. How am I to feel I'm making the right choice with this?" She extended the PADD to Ollie. Pinching the bridge of her nose. "Thank you for your hard work Doctor, that couldn't have been easy. Ready yourself for your mission. Ollie, you hold up a moment please."

Heather gave a nod, "Your right it wasn't easy Captain, but it needed to be done." She said and turned to leave with a nod to both Captain and First officer.

Oliver didn't bother to sit down. Just rested his hands on the back of one of the chairs. "Well, it doesn't particularly matter, to be honest since there is going to be four of us going to Earth and get what we need."

" It seems no difference what choice I make it may or may not matter. Ollie in all my years I have never second-guessed my decisions. One or two may have come back and bit me but nothing that was so definitive and literal as the life or death situation we are in." In talking she had since pushed away from her desk and was pacing back and forth as she talked.

"Are we sure that either of you needs to make a decision? From what I can see right now, both of you are completely rattled, and I'm the only one calm and not wearing holes in the deck plating."

"Cmdr. Queen, you are not in my shoes knowing you may be sending your crew into oblivion again. You cannot tell me you would not be a bit indecisive about this. Not knowing the wrong step I took three days ago to keep my crew and ship intact this time isn't helping. You saw Heather's report, it's leaving too many variables. "She stopped and looked at him in earnest not believing how he could think this was so cut and dry. " I will share this with Adon and Nikosh. We will stick with the away team getting the gems and armed with this little bit of info, hopefully, the moves are not deadly." Ravynn pressed the button on her desk. "Anything else Commander?"

"Actually, I can completely tell you I wouldn't be indecisive about it because I'm not."

"I guess it's a good thing you will be with the away team then, making exact indecisive choices to ensure that you and your team will be successful in your mission. Get yourself and your team on its way. That is all. Open." The doors opened to her ready room. Their conversation was over and she would share the new information and hope her choices were the right ones.
