Lieutenant Commander Kai Makorie.
I really hate DS9. No, I mean, I really, really, really hate DS9.
After we returned from that other place. I still have decided if it's dimension or parallel universe or whatever, it was hellish. We were able to solve the mystery and get home. Maybe we had to go and save ourselves and our current time line by going. I don't know, I don't know if we will ever know. And I would rather turn my mind to other, more solvable mysteries.
The Captain decided that we needed 3 days on this station. I am only going there to deal with what I need to deal with. Other than that, I am staying on the ship. I don't want to be here. I don't ever want to come back here.
I did have to go over and sign some papers and make some hard decisions. Then I brought back with me all that was mine and left the rest for those in charge to decide what to do with them. They weren't left to me, so it isn't my problem. Besides, I have everything that meant anything to me.
I did spend some time placing special items. And I did sit the proper ceremony. I suppos Ie it was inevitable. I only wish...no, I won't wish that. It's the will of the Prophets and I must accept it, as I must everything else.
I have one more day to wait until we can leave this cursed station and go back into the peace of space. I only wish it were sooner. I only wish...it doesn't matter. It didn't before, why should it matter now? Maybe I'll catch up on sleep. Maybe I'll go and work on my hybrids again. I really haven't decided what I'm going to do now.
Makorie sat in a chair in her quarters, staring at the wall, the lights dimmed to almost dark. Sitting on the table behind her a simple note. "Lt Commander Kai, we regret to inform you that Kelevin and Timmina were found dead in their cafe. It appears to be murder and station security is looking into it. You are their sole heir. Below is the list of items they wanted you to have." It was signed the Station Commander.
