Diagnostics have been running on several systems for the past hour. At this time there is no indication of the damage I ‘witnessed’. It’s as if it never happened. I have submitted my reports to the Chief Engineer. Perhaps she will see something I did not.
Ensign Thea Queen has spent the majority of her time on the bridge. I have received several notifications as to what has been transpiring. The incident we most recently experienced was triggered by high levels of radiation coming from a planet. We are now in the process of increasing the radiation shielding around the core as much as is possible with the current supplies we have on hand.
I have an idea that the planet would be a good source of power if we could find a way to collect and analyze a sample of the radiation. While I am not certain, I think the science department would be integral to this investigation this as well.
As for the personnel, Ens Core has seemed to fall into line in following Star Fleet Protocols. I have not found any other anomalies in his work since we crossed the barrier. Although, I fear this may only be a momentary reprieve, it is my hope that he will continue to perform admirably at his post.
