Mission:
Where do we go from here?
Location: Cargo Bay
Duty Log: ETA - Running out of time
By: Heather Argeneau
Heather was thankful her parents, no not just her parents, her whole family, taught her how to keep her emotions in check. Because the bodies of her friends, her, family people she had come to care about weren't exactly whole. It was clear they were in an explosion. Like the ship itself, they were in parts. And even with all her barriers, this was still hard. Heather was doing this on her own as well at least the autopsy that was.
Heather closed her eyes and took some breaths, even for her this was hard. How did people do this for a living? She didn't know. Shaking her head she turned back to what she needed to do. Having categorized, and scanned into the computer to find a time of death. She stepped away while the computer did the work, while she tried not to get sick. Vampire or no, this turned her stomach. Her Aunt Rachel may have worked in a morgue once upon a time, but this was not something she wanted as part of her life. Heather didn't kill, not once in her life has she ever killed for blood, to protect herself, or any other reason. Death wasn't a factor in her life, well before now.
She paced feeling tired, she hadn't gotten much sleep since thrown into this universe. There hasn't been time really not with having to reveal who they were to the captain and her former chief. She was too worried about how they would respond and hadn't had the nerve to check their surface thoughts to see what they had thought about it. Honestly, she didn't need to. The horror on Adonudo's face was more than enough to tell her what he'd thought. So that wasn't really helping her.
The computer's alert went off letting Heather know it was done calculating. "Computer how long have they been dead."
[They have been dead for three days.] The computer stated. Heather ran a hand over her eyes. She was part of the away mission. And yet from what the Computer was saying they had three days before they were all dead it seemed...
"Captan's going to need to hear this." Heather frowned, unable to hold out any longer she grabbed a wastebasket and threw her guts up. Thankful any blood she consumed was through her fangs and directly into the blood system, then into her stomach otherwise she would have just thrown it up along with whatever was in her system that she managed to eat that day.
Standing up Heather moved to find a washroom and washing her mouth out. PADD in the pocket of her lab coat she started towards the bridge to talk to the command team.
