Personal Log: Could it be?
By: Lieutenant Heather Argeneau
Heather, frowned worried about what was going on. Morgensen was coming to talk to her, but of what she couldn't be sure. Instead of worrying she kept her mental walls up to keep the crew out. Even still she could feel the panic sweeping the ship. People did not realize how much they let their emotions through even if they've learned to not let those emotions control them.
She moved to restock the shelves for the medical storage that was near by, reaching for the cleaner she then started to sanitize the beds, she was alone at the moment that she was sure of. Still, she hadn't realized when she'd started moving faster than she should. Whenever Heather was nervous she speed cleaned. She hated cleaning to begin with so if she could get it done and over with she usually did so quickly. Well she was doing it quickly alright, she had to take some calming breaths when she realized she was moving faster than she should and forced herself to slow down. But all the bio beds had been sanitized for use.
Looking around she went to water her orchids the experiments she had going on the different hybrids she had managed to create. Now they weren't just experiments they were decoration. The young immortal did not over water them though knowing that if she did so most orchids would die before too long. She turned the light hitting her eyes just right causing a silver flare like when the light hits the eyes of a nocturnal animal just right and there's a reflection of light that allows the prey to see their predator before the attack. Heather had no intention of attacking anyone but she was listening to the whispers going on. The bumpy ride they'd gone through had everyone worried.
Heather was not one to worry, however, there were moments when she felt as if she was missing something. Closing her eyes and trying to think back on it, she felt weightless as if the gravity around her had been suspended. As if in a dream she felt herself fall backwards voices and whispers similar to those outside of sickbay, but vastly different floated around her as she fell backwards.
'help us,'
'Death and distraction will be our future.'
'Your future will never be, if we fail,'
'we need your help it will never stop.'
Heather's eyes opened, her hair hung in the air almost as if time around her stop she seemed suspended in mid fall unable to move, unable to right herself. It was strange this was something she had never experienced before. Almost as if a dream. Beyond her suspended form she could see the holodeck party from DS9 and this caused more confusion, she did not remember nearly falling during that time, she did not recall anything out of the ordinary other than finding the devices.
Heather barely noticed the pain of a needle that she couldn't exactly locate where it occurred just the slightest of pinpricks and then she didn't remember much of anything outside of opening her eyes and finding herself back on the Roddenberry-A. Turning as the doors opened and Morgensen joined her in Sickbay.
