Core all of sudden wakes up, WOW what a dream. The runabout seems possible but does he have the experience and skill to do it. Then he remembers something.

Flashback to Core's Academy days

"Mr. Core got a question?" says Mr. Albert. "Why do we need to calculate the mass of a starship or anything we build when we can have the computer do it?" asks Demitri. "Well what if we put in a wrong parameters that makes the slipstream or warp not full engulf the ship we are building? Then what happens our ship is going to be torn asunder." says Mr. Albert. "True, but the computer already has the variables." says Demitri. "This is Starship Building 101 not 600. I can either teach you or you can LEAVE." says Mr. Albert. Demitri gives the instructor a nod. "Yes Sir, I will learn more before asking again." says Demitri.

Back on the Roddenberry

Core immediately gets to finding more about the officers and crew in engineering. By studying and doing and working on his skills in the free time, he hopes to have his dream come true. Then by intention, time and sweat he can eventually make the new runabout with specs he dreamed of.
