Laurel could barely look Commander Queen in the face while they were on the bridge. To say she’d made a complete and utter fool of herself was, at least in her mind, a total understatement. She wouldn’t be surprised if he suggested to the Captain that she be transferred to anywhere but here, pronto! To make matters worse, she had overslept, then had to rush to get to her duty post for the day, while she was still sporting a massive headache from the night before.

The Captain had called her on it too, and she was sure that everyone present on the bridge had heard it too. While this was all her own doing, Phoenix unfortunately put blame on Felicity, which was totally unfair.
And all because Commander Queen thought she should mingle more with the crew. And then she drank way too much and told him exactly why she didn’t like mingling so much. And that memory was now fresh in her mind as well. Something else to put back into a bottle that should never have been opened, unfortunately that was impossible to do. Now she had to deal with the ramifications of her little lapse in judgment.

She really couldn’t remember much of the night past the lounge. She just hoped that she didn’t do something else that would come back and bite her on the butt. At least Commander Queen, or Ollie as he insisted off duty, had not been too judgmental. But lord knows how she ever got back to her quarters, she sure as hell didn’t. That was a good reason not to go out drinking ever again.
