Joint Duty (Back) Log: Quarantine set up for Autopsies
By: Heather Argeneau and Persia Lionmane
Heather moved about the wellness center setting up for a portion of the medical bay to be turned into a decontamination quarantine for the two Alien bodies found from the planet surface so they could find out exactly how they had died. Not to mention learn something from an entire planet that was now lost forever. It was sad really that a species could be wiped out in the blink of an eye really. "Computer erect a level 10 force-field around biobeds 1 and 2 for sterilized work area. Set up quarantine procedures and prepare bio-filters to max." Heather ordered. "Confirmed order processing." The computer said moving fast to follow Heather's order. With Heather's eyes, she could see the force-field activate. Heather then turned to make sure that she had everything she would need.
Persia arrived to see Heather setting up the area as she dressed in scrubs and got on her big girl pants she sighed to herself wondering why she left a perfectly good workplace maybe it was the trauma she never really got over.
Heather looked up as Persia Joined her in the wellness center for her preparations. "Welcome Persia, what brings you to the wellness center? are you feeling ill from the radiation on the planet?" Heather asked knowing that the away team was mostly back which was why she was setting up.
"Oh heavens no. I just wanted to check in on you and assist you It's better than working alone having an entire department on your shoulder's" She said frowning.
"Out of all the people I worked under she may not have been the gruffest but why would she just leave like that. Leaving everything to me and me alone. She's taken the cake for the most asshole boss I have ever worked under."
Heather gave Persia an understanding smile, "I do not know why Lt Kai left, maybe she felt she had nothing left behind to go back to." Heather sighed softly knowing that if she hadn't met Morgensen a few hundred years and she probably would have done the same thing. "Maybe she felt she could disappear on this side of the barrier," Heather added as she prepped the trays with tools and brought them over to the biobeds.
"it was ollie tieing me up with ropes yelling at me for disobeying a direct order because the ship was shifting from side to side and I was being flung around like a rag doll he bruised my ribs tieing me up like that. Then it was Adon trying to freaking strangle me when he was high as a kite on the white and now Kai just up and leaves without saying goodbye I must be cursed." She said bitterly.
"and the worst part my old boss is the ship's counselor. How is he going to help me with my trama when he's the one who caused it and knows it. People say just go talk to him I'll come with you. It's not that freaking simple damnit. He literally tried to kill me how is talking going to help?" She shook her head "Ah whatever I have jobs to do and an entire department resting on my shoulders. I don't have time to get into my own head." She said as she helped heather with getting the equipment set up.
Heather listened quietly to Persia. She understood the feline's problem at the moment, "If you feel you cannot talk to Adon, you could always talk to me. I may not be a counselor, but I am a friend who can listen." Heather said gently with an understanding hand on Persia's shoulder before continuing to work.
Persia smiled "If you don't mind my senseless rant's that is" She laughed as she assisted.
"Transporter room, we're ready for you to beam them up," Heather said into her combadge and two bodies materialized on the bio-beds.
