Joint Personal Log: Additions to the Family.

After overriding the Turbolift to bypass every other deck and rushing down the hall to the WC with Heather in his arms. He gently placed her onto the large biobed that had been prepared by the nursing staff and gave a couple of breaths, grasping her hand and gently squeezing it.

By this time Heather was gritting her teeth to keep from crying out during the contractions which weren't exactly close enough together yet. She leaned back against the pillow squeezing Magnus' hand as well as the nurses fussed around her.

Childbirth was as new an experience to Heather, as carrying a child for nine to ten months. Neither one scared her, for she knew what to expect. Ok well, personal experience did not show her what to expect, talking with her mother and Aunt Leigh had prepared her enough for the general understanding of what was to come.

While Heather would have dearly loved for her Aunt to be there with her - considering she was also their family doctor. After all, as an immortal, it wasn't a good idea to go to a hospital where one's blood, taken at every turn.

However, knowing what to expect and experiencing it were, of course, two different things. Even Heather was not immune to the pain of childbirth that one feels. With Magnus' encouragement and coaching. Heather soon delivered the first of two babies. Heather falls back upon the biobed panting, the cries of her newborn son filling the room replacing the pained growls and cries that Heather had recently released.

With more words of encouragement from her husband Heather grit, her teeth as the pain came anew.

"That's in Heather, push you can do it!" The nurse told her as the second twin decided it was time to make her appearance. With Morgesen repeating the nurse Heather growled at both of them before letting out a pained cry as their daughter came screaming into the world right behind her brother just about.

Heather fell back onto the bed again thankful that the second twin managed to come more smoothly than her brother.

Still, even though twins do not often reach a normal weight, the boy was 7.5 pounds while his sister weighed in at 5.5 pounds. Both babies were handoff to Magnus first so they could meet their dad before being given to Heather to hold.

Heather smiled up at Magnus, "Look what we brought into this world." She smiled at him softly.
