Mission: Where do we go from here?
Location: The Wellness Center
Timeline: After Sim

Duty Log: Cleaning house
By: Heather Argeneau-Morgensen, MD.

When Heather had first learned about the blood samples and arm waiting for her, Heather had taken her sleeping babies back to the quarters she shared with her husband Magnus. Under the watchful care of a holo-Nanny because Magnus was also on duty. Heather had returned to the blood samples.

She was not happy with the results when mixed with a normal blood sample. One drop had been more than enough to start the mutation process. One drop and the living would become whatever these were that walked on the Yorktown. Which Heather had promptly reported. With the order to dispose of the samples Heather was prepared to do so.

Curiosity, however, had her checking a drop of her own blood to see if her nanites would be able to withstand the mutation. Just one drop of her own blood. The results caused the blood to drain from her face. Not because she was hungry. Heather had recently fed. No this was because the nanites in her blood and the mutation simply killed each other. The mutation couldn't conquer the nanites and the nanites in her blood couldn't destroy the mutation so they shut down altogether destroying the mutation along with it.

Heather moved the samples to the vaporizer, Heather was making sure to keep every precaution, every protection she could afford herself. Heather turned on the vaporizer and watched to be sure that the sample was completely vaporized.

Once it was she turned to the hand and found it moving. Heather reached for the phasor that she kept in her office turned it to the highest setting and shot the arm watching as it also vaporized. There was no way in hell she was touching it.
