Duty Log: Bridge POV of Lt. Thea Queen

I had a lock on the prisoner D'ak Musal; there was no way I would let him or the others go. I'd get as many as I could if not all of them. They were the reason 02 was gone; we were all mourning the loss of not just a colleague but a friend. While listening to the order to beam them back I noticed that Lt. D'Vana Xavier wasn't at the Security station on the bridge. The half-Klingon officer had seemed to favor that spot to her office as it would let her keep up with what was going on.
There were Nine enemies according to my brother, who was also watching the sensors lock on D'ak Musal. As soon as the Captain shouted, I beamed D'ak Musal and as many signatures around him as possible. It worked grabbing all nine into the holding cell that had at one point held only one. Which was confirmed by Lt. Rip Wheeler down in the brig with nine little 'fishies'. Cute. I still owed him that drink.
The shields were raised to full again, but that didn't stop the Renoa overseer M'Dral from demanding his people back. I had to think of O2 to keep from laughing at his demand. There was no way that Captain Avri Byrd would give in to that demand. I hadn't known her for long, but she didn't strike me as the kind to bend to the demands of our enemies. Of course, if she were, she wouldn't be our Captain now, would she?
The ship goes to red alert, and several more Renoa ships join the first. I'm not worried, especially since Wheeler's readings show that the ships threatening us aren't exactly on our level. It seems almost unfair, but the memory of O2 doesn't exactly have me all warm and fuzzy for the people on those ships that are threatening us.
The captain orders the ship to Star Base 27 clearly she wasn't going to make the first shot. We don't have long before Lt. Wheeler is shouting a warning for incoming fire and the ship shakes, but not as violently as I've felt in previous phaser fights. They don't stand a chance against our return fire. Two ships are already destroyed the last one is limping now. As we leave the area, the last ship is taken out by our phasers draining the shields and the torps finishing them off. The loss of life all around is sad, but you can't exactly fix stupid and these people weren't exactly willing to back down. Frowning, I noticed through all of that Lt. D'Vana Xavier never joined us on the bridge, not even with the Red Alert blaring loudly.
Making a scan, I noticed that there had been a power fluctuation in the holodeck. I turn towards the captain, "Ma'am there was a power fluctuation in Holodeck 1 and Lt. D'Vana's bio readings are registering in the same location," Thea reported from her Ops station.
