I'm not sure, Captain. I am puzzled by the idea of a "ghost dimension" ... a place between the worlds. It just leaves me ... unsettled.

::Looks to the Captain:: The devices are out of power. The stones, whatever they are, are from our reality/dimension. Here in this dimension, they are not getting the charge they need to operate. Thus causing the instability in the wormhole.

We need to discover the origin of the stones used. I know it is some kind of crystal, but it isn't dilithium. Then we need to find out what will charge the crystals and hopefully it will stabilize the wormhole so we can get back home.

I don't know the properties of the crystals used to know if we can find a suitable alternative in this dimension. We may have to simply find the origins of these crystals and find a way to charge them. I'm still trying to find something to compare them to.

I'm unfamilure with earth rocks,gemstones and crystals when it comes to names but I can reconise some like quarts or amathyst.

What we are looking for is Mt Kilimanjaro Tanzanite. The only place those have ever been found is at the foot of Mt Kilimanjaro. We have to go to Earth.

It wouldn't be charged, like fresh crystals taken from the Earth itself. I don't know if a piece of crystal long taken from the soil and brought so far from the radiation of Earth's sun would even hold a charge. Let alone a charge strong enough to stabilize the wormhole so we can get home.

Tanzanite? That's a healing crystal. I had some in the Wellness Center before we moved to the new ship. It facilitates a connection with the spiritual realm.

There are two options before us. An emission nebula on a vector towards the Klingons or a type 2 wormhole with a high specific gravity.
It is likely getting the gravitation force from the other side, possibly a blackhole within a light year of the aperature.

Your DNA is part of the crystals needed to stabilize the wormhole and get us home. But it isn't just your DNA. There is another person's DNA included in the crystals.
